Objective:
Our objective is to create an alternate use of portable energy for a student as they walk to and from class or school. This is done by using two or three flexible Photovoltaic solar panels that each create about 7v-12v and 100mA-125ma of power. These solar panels will go on the outside of the students backpack. The student will have various connectors to power up any portable device they wish to use. This is mainly for powering up a cell phone or ipod.While doing research online, we ran across an existing back pack that has solar panes and charges small devices. We ask Prof. Hua what we should do? He told us that we should use this product as a guidline and try to beat the specifications that they posted. So we have compared out back pack to the online back pack. All the specifications and results are on the EE 175 Final Report located on the top of this page. |
