Short Bio
Before joining UCR in July 2012, I was an Assistant Professor
of ECE at Texas Tech University from Oct 2010 until June 2012. Before that,
I was a post-doctoral fellow at the ECE Department - University of Toronto.
I received my Ph.D. in ECE from the University of British Columbia in 2008,
M.Sc. in EE from Sharif University of Technology in 2004, and B.Sc. in EE
from Amir-Kabir University of Technology in 2002. From March to July 2007,
I was a visiting graduate student at Princeton University. I received the
NSF CAREER Award 2012 from the National Science Foundation
for my research on smart grid and the Best Paper Award 2012 from the IEEE International Conference on Smart
Grid Communication.
