LAB FACILITIES
The Visualization and Intelligent Systems Laboratory (VISLab),
a research unity of the College of Engineering, is involved in basic
and applied research required in the development of intelligent
systems for autonomous navigation, automatic object recognition,
remote sensing, manufacturing, and various industrial and medical
applications. Lab facilities include several SUN, SGI, and Macintosh
workstations, VITEK image processor, color printer, scanner, and other
peripherals and software packages required for research in computer
vision, graphics, image processing, machine learning, artificial
intelligence, and robotics. Dr. Bir Bhanu, Professor in the College
of Engineering, is the director of the VISLab.
