Liu receives SRC Inventor Recognition Award

Jianlin LiuElectrical Engineering Professor Jianlin Liu receives an Inventor Recognition Award from Semiconductor Research Corporation (SRC) for his invention on “Nanocrystal Memories and Methods of forming the same”. The co-inventors are his former students and postdocs Dengtao Zhao, Ruigang Li, Yan Zhu and Bei Li. Under the support of Focused Center Research Programs (FCRP) on Functional Functional Engineered Nano Architectonics (FENA), National Science Foundation (NSF), and Center on Nanomaterials and Nanodevices, Liu’s group has developed various silicide-based nanocrystal memory approaches to extend the scaling limit of flash memories.  This award is conferred in recognition of some of these contributions. SRC, located in the Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, is an industry-supported organization. It supports research in academia from around the world to address technology challenges for industries adjacent to semiconductors.
