EE department welcomes new and continuing graduate students
 
The Department of Electrical Engineering welcomed new graduate students at the Fall 2006 Graduate Orientation. The new graduate students, who joined EE program this quarter, include 15 PhD and 13 MS students. The diverse Fall-2006 cohort includes 7 domestic and 21 international students who come from Bangladesh, China, India, Korea, Taiwan and Turkey. With the addition of new students, the total number of EE graduate students reached 85 (62 PhD and 23 MS). The graduate students currently specialize in one of the EE department's five research focus areas or work with cooperating faculty from other departments. The five specialization areas include Computer Engineering (CE), Communications and Signal Processing (CSP), Controls and Robotics (CR), Intelligent Systems (IS) and Nano Materials, Devices and Circuits (NMDC). Among the new requirements introduced for the graduate students this quarter is safety training (all students should schedule training through this web page).
