Professor Lake receives $240K grant from the National Science Foundation

Roger Lake was awarded a 3-year, $240,000 grant from the NSF for the project "High-Throughput Ab Initio Modeling of Charge and Spin Transport for Bio-Molecular-Electronics and Spintronics." James Lewis at Brigham Young University is a co-PI. The project will develop the theory and computational tools to enable simulation of complex bio-assembled, metal, nano-crystal, molecular, carbon nanotube structures to explore future nanoelectronic applications. It will allow the modeling and understanding of charge and spin transport through these novel hybrid organic-inorganic systems. More information about Lake's research can be found online at www.ee.ucr.edu/~rlake.
