Abstract

Qualcomm Research is involved in wide spectrum of research topics, from latest communication technologies to CPU research and making smarter computing devices.LTE is the latest WWAN (Wireless Wide Area Network) technology allowing communication speeds exceeding 300 Mbps. LTE is based on OFDMA multiple access wireless technology and allows for variety of deployment options including FDD, TDD and Het-Net.

Biography

Fatih Ulupinar has completed his Ph.D. at the University of Southern Califor-  nia in1991.  Since then he has worked at Bilkent University in Turkey, at Advance Computer Science Corporation in Los Angeles and Siemens corporate research in New Jersey. Recently, Dr. Ulupinar has been working at Qualcomm, Research. At Qualcomm, he has worked on the design and implementation of many of the Wireless WAN systems:EvDO, UMB and LTE. Recently Dr. Ulupinar is working on end to end large data transfer and efficient video streaming.  Dr. Ulupinar holds more than 90 patents.
