For the general campus community, the UC Riverside systems group for Computing and Communications maintains a variety of fully-serviced networked computing facilities, from PC, Macintosh, and other workstation labs to research access at supercomputing sites. While these services are available to the campus at large, the Department of Electrical Engineering operates additional facilities using its own computer and computing systems. All students, faculty, and staff of the College have individual account access to one or more of these systems, as do all students in service courses offered by the College.

| The Solarium - Main Computing Lab (Bourns B255) | | | | The Solarium is the main computer lab for all Electrical Engineering students. The lab consists of approximately thirty high speed computers. The lab is available 24 hours a day for the general use of Electrical and Computer Engineering students. The PC's are utilized for data entry, acquisition and analysis, virtual instrument experimentation and simulations, hardware design and testing, device modeling, and the programming of instrument control.
