Here is a brief tutorial in setting up a VPN connection in Windows XP. 1) Go to Start->My Network Places
 2) Click on view network connections  3) Click create a new connection  4) A 'New Connection Wizard' should popup. Click next.  5) Select "Connect to the network at my workplace" and click next.  6) Select "Virtual Private Network connection" and click next.  7) Type in a name for this connection and click next.  8) Select "Do not dial the initial connection" and click next.  9) Type in the server: vpn.engr.ucr.edu. Click next.  10) Select "Add shortcut to desktop" and click next.  11) Type in your username and password. NOTE: Your username must be prefixed with "engr\" to specify the domain.  12) You should now see that you are connected.  |
